Real Madrid fans show support for Cristiano Ronaldo's Ballon d'Or campaign by holding FACE MASKS
And it didn't go unnoticed, as the injured winger tweeted: "Thanks to the fans for the great support. I wish I was there helping my team"
Real Madrid supporters left nobody in any doubt as to who they're supporting in this year's Ballon d'Or award after holding aloft face masks of star man Cristiano Ronaldo during last night's match against Galatasaray.
The winger had to settle for a seat in the stands after being ruled out from injury, but it didn't stop thousands of fans showing their support with Ronaldo 7 cards.
Ronaldo is favourite to win this year's player of the year award after another sterling year for his club and country, which included a hat-trick for Portugal against Sweden earlier this month.
And, probably unsurprisingly, the attention didn't go unnoticed by Ronaldo himself.
Real Madrid won the match 4-1 - and the winger could be again celebrating if he secures this year's Ballon d'Or too.
